MEET OUR CHIEF INSTRUCTORS
Marissa Katz
Mrs Marissa Katz is a 4th Degree Black Belt and a certified ATA Martial Arts Instructor. She has been doing Martial Arts for 15 Years and teaching Martial Arts since 2016. Her favourite weapon is the Gumdo (Sword). She has been to 3 World Championships, achieving four 2nd places in 2011 as a Colour Belt and a 1st place in the Black Belt division in the Family Festival 2022

Mrs Katz has has 2 passions, namely, Martial Arts and Remedial Therapy. She is a qualified Foundation Phase teacher and an experienced Remedial Therapist. She has been in the Education sector for 32years. She loves helping children and adults with Special Needs.
​
She has also completed the Level 1 Instructors Course for teaching Taekwondo to students with Special Abilities, through the International Inclusive Taekwondo Association (IITA). She also runs the Special Ability Classes at our Bedfordview club.

Mr Faiyaz Khan
Mr Faiyaz Khan is a 4th Degree Black Belt.He is a certified ATA Martial Arts Instructor. He has been doing Martial Arts for 20 years and teaching for 5 years. He is a certified Personal Trainer and a Kickboxing Coach. He has been to 3 World Champs, achieving two 1st places in 2011 and a 1st place in 2022 and 1st plsce atthe Family Festival 2024. He has a great passion working with children and adults, developing their physical and mental wellness. His favourite weapon is the Ssahng Jeol Bong (nunchuck).
Outside Martial Arts, Mr Khan has worked in manufacturing and now in sales.

While Mr Faiyaz Khan's talent is teaching Sparring and Combat Weapon Sparring, Mrs Marissa Katz's talent is in teaching Poomsae/Form and Weapon Form. "Together we make a formidable team, developing future leaders and champions!"
